How to Add an Animated GIF to a PDF

Supported Video File Formats

The Add Video tool in Acrobat Pro DC supports the following video file formats:

• mov
• mp4
• m4v
• 3gp
• 3g2

Solution

To add an animated GIF to a PDF, follow these steps:

1. Open your chosen file in Adobe Acrobat.
2. In the toolbar on the left, click Edit text & images.
3. In the Illustrations group of the Insert tab, click Pictures.
4. Choose This Device from the drop-down menu.
5. Locate and select the animated GIF file you want to add.
6. Click Open.

The animated GIF will be added to your PDF. You can resize and position it as needed.
