Explorer Notes

Explorer Notes are collectible items spread across all of the story maps in ARK. These notes provide insights into the lore and history of the game, as well as tips for survival. There are a total of 100 Explorer Notes on the Island map, with each note corresponding to a specific location. The notes are divided into 10 series, each with 10 notes. The first nine series are written by various explorers who visited the Island before the player's arrival, while the tenth series is written by the player's character.

Cave Locations

There are 15 caves on the Island map. Each cave contains unique resources and challenges. Some of the caves are home to dangerous creatures, while others are relatively safe. The caves are located in various parts of the map, from the lush forests to the icy mountains. Visit each cave to discover its secrets and collect valuable loot.

Artifact Locations

There are six Artifacts on the Island map. These Artifacts are required to summon the bosses. Each Artifact is located in a specific cave or underwater location. Finding and collecting the Artifacts is a challenging task, but it is essential for progressing in the game. Visit each location to collect the artifacts and unlock the boss fights.

Beacon Locations

There are six Beacons on the Island map. These Beacons are used to activate the Obelisks. Each Beacon is located in a different part of the map. You'll find them in caves, ruins, and other landmarks. Activating the Beacons is essential for progressing in the game and unlocking the final boss fight. Find each Beacon and activate it to continue your journey.

The following list contains all 89 available Explorer Notes on the Island map. The remaining 11 notes are the boss dossiers, which are obtained by defeating each boss. Use this guide to find and collect all the Explorer Notes and learn more about the world of ARK.
