How to make an Animated GIF in Photoshop

Introduction

GIFs are a popular way to share short, animated images online. They're often used for memes, reactions, and other humorous content. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to make an animated GIF in Photoshop.

Materials you'll need:

– Photoshop is installed on your computer – A series of images – A timeline

Step 1: Import your images into Photoshop

Open Photoshop and create a new document. The size of your document will depend on the size of your GIF. Once you have created a new document, import your images into Photoshop. You can do this by dragging and dropping them into the document or by going to File > Open and selecting your images.

Step 2: Create a timeline

Once you have imported your images into Photoshop, you need to create a timeline. The timeline is where you will animate your GIF. To create a timeline, go to Window > Timeline.

Step 3: Add your images to the timeline

Drag and drop your images onto the timeline. The order of your images will determine the order in which they appear in your GIF.

Step 4: Set the duration of each image

Once you have added your images to the timeline, you need to set the duration of each image. The duration is how long each image will appear in your GIF. To set the duration of an image, click on the image in the timeline and then enter the desired duration in the Duration field.

Step 5: Add transitions

You can add transitions between your images to make your GIF look more polished. To add a transition, click on the two images that you want to add a transition between and then select the desired transition from the Transition menu.

Step 6: Preview your GIF

Once you have added all of your images and transitions, you can preview your GIF by clicking on the Play button in the Timeline panel.

Step 7: Save your GIF

Once you are happy with your GIF, you can save it by going to File > Save As. In the Save As dialog box, select GIF from the Format menu. That's it! You have now created an animated GIF in Photoshop.
