The Umbrella Academy's Ritu Arya Surprised by Season 4 Romance Twist

Exclusive: Ritu Arya shares her thoughts on the “shock” romance between Five and Lila in season 4 of The Umbrella Academy.

Ritu Arya, who plays Lila Pitts in the Netflix series, has admitted that she was initially surprised by the romance between her character and Five Hargreeves (Aidan Gallagher) in season 4.

Speaking to Newsweek, Arya said that she “didn't see it coming” and that she was “really excited” when she found out about the storyline.

“I think it's a really interesting dynamic, because Lila is so unpredictable and Five is so controlled,” Arya said. “I think they challenge each other in a really good way.”

Arya also praised Gallagher's performance in the role of Five, saying that he is “an incredible actor” and that he “really brings Five to life.”

The Umbrella Academy season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
