Celine Dion Slams Trump for Unauthorized Use of “My Heart Will Go On”

Former President Criticized for Playing Iconic Song at Rally

Singer's Statement Condemns Trump's “Unwarranted” Action

Music icon Celine Dion has joined the chorus of celebrities speaking out against Donald Trump after the former president used her song “My Heart Will Go On” at a recent rally in Montana. Dion's team issued an official statement on Saturday, August 10th, disavowing both Trump and his presidential campaign.

“The song 'My Heart Will Go On' was not authorized for use at the event and cannot be used without the permission of the copyright holder,” the statement read. “Celine Dion's team is pursuing all necessary legal action to stop the unauthorized use of her music.”

Dion's condemnation adds to a growing list of artists who have protested Trump's unauthorized use of their music at political rallies. In recent months, at least 23 other celebrities, including Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, and Neil Young, have taken similar action.

This latest incident comes as Trump seeks to revive his presidential campaign ahead of the 2024 election. However, his use of copyrighted music without permission has drawn criticism not only from the music industry but also from legal experts, who argue that it violates intellectual property rights.
