In a recent interview with GQ, Cody Rhodes discussed his plans for the future of the WWE Championship. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has expressed his desire to reintroduce the classic Winged Eagle Championship design that was used from 1986 to 1998.

Rhodes has been open about his wish to bring back the Winged Eagle since his return to WWE in 2022. He initially expressed his desire to win the championship from Roman Reigns with that design but was unsuccessful in his attempt.

Despite the setback, Rhodes has not given up on his goal. He plans to push for the Winged Eagle Championship to be brought back, even though he is aware that he may not have much influence over the decision.
