Freaky Friday Sequel Gets Freaky New Title

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan Return for 'Freakier'

Manny Jacinto Joins Cast as Lohan's Onscreen Husband

The long-awaited sequel to 2003's Freaky Friday just got freakier. At Disney's D23 fan event in Anaheim, California, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis revealed the title of the sequel: Freakier Friday.

The original film, which starred Curtis and Lohan as a mother and daughter who magically switch bodies, was a critical and commercial success. The sequel will see the return of both actresses, with Curtis reprising her role as the uptight mother and Lohan as her rebellious daughter.

Joining the cast is Manny Jacinto, who will play Lohan's onscreen husband. Jacinto is best known for his roles in The Good Place and Nine Perfect Strangers.

Disney has not yet announced a release date for Freakier Friday, but it is expected to hit theaters in 2023.
