Trump Returns to Social Media for Interview with Elon Musk

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to be interviewed on social media Monday night by billionaire Elon Musk. The interview will be streamed live on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 8 pm PDT.

Trump announced the interview in a post to his conservative social media site Truth Social. He said he was “looking forward to talking to Elon about all the great things that are happening.” Musk has been a vocal supporter of Trump and has recently reinstated his Twitter account.

The interview will mark Trump's return to the social media platform after he was banned in January 2021 following the Capitol riot. He revived his X account on Monday for the first time in a year.
