Open Access for Authors at Participating German Institutions

Agreement with Projekt DEAL

Corresponding authors from institutions participating in DEAL agreements with Wiley, Springer Nature, or Elsevier will now have the opportunity to publish their research open access, ensuring that it is freely available to all.

Research is More Powerful When it is Shared

Open access publishing models have been shown to increase the visibility, impact, and usage of research. By making research more accessible, open access helps to drive scientific progress and innovation.

Max Planck Society Participation

The Max Planck Society is one of the participating institutions in the agreement between Projekt DEAL and Wiley. As part of this agreement, the Max Planck Society will centrally cover the open access publishing costs for its researchers.

Progress and Innovation

The Alliance of Science Organisations has long been a supporter of open access publishing. The agreement with Projekt DEAL is a significant step towards making open access the norm for scientific research in Germany.
