Walmart Names Former PwC Chair to Board Committees

Retired CEO Bob Moritz to Join Audit, Strategy, and Technology Committees

Veteran Business Leader to Provide Guidance and Expertise to Walmart's Governance

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart Inc. (NYSE: WMT) today announced the appointment of Bob Moritz, the retired global chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), to its board of directors.

Moritz, who retired from PwC in June 2024 after a 39-year career with the firm, will join Walmart's audit, strategy, and technology committees.

“We are delighted to welcome Bob to our board of directors,” said Walmart Chairman Greg Penner. “His deep experience in accounting, auditing, and business leadership will be invaluable as we continue to navigate the evolving retail landscape.”

Moritz served as PwC's global chairman from 2016 to 2022, overseeing the firm's global network of more than 295,000 professionals in 157 countries.

Prior to his role as global chairman, Moritz led PwC's US firm as chairman and senior partner from 2009 to 2016.

Moritz is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

He is also a member of the board of directors of The Boeing Company and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Moritz's appointment to Walmart's board brings the total number of directors to 14.

Walmart is the world's largest retailer, with more than 10,500 stores in 24 countries.

The company employs more than 2.3 million associates worldwide and generated $572.8 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2023.
