Jarren Duran, the Boston Red Sox's center fielder, played a pivotal role in the American League's (AL) 5-3 victory over the National League (NL) in the 2023 All-Star Game.
With the AL trailing 3-1 in the fifth inning, Duran stepped up to the plate and launched a towering two-run homer off NL starter Corbin Burnes. His blast gave the AL the lead for good and earned him the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
Duran's performance continued a breakout season for the 26-year-old. In his first full year as a regular with the Red Sox, he is batting .295 with 10 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has also stolen 15 bases.
