Hold on tight spider-monkeys: there's an animated Twilight series coming

It's been over a decade since the Twilight saga first hit theaters, but the franchise is still going strong.

Now, fans can get excited for a new animated series based on the books.

The series, titled “Twilight: The Animated Series,” will be produced by Netflix and consists of 40 episodes. The show will follow the story of Bella Swan, a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen.

The series is being developed by showrunner and executive producer Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the first Twilight film. Hardwicke said that she is excited to bring the story of Twilight to life in a new way.

“I am so excited to be working on this project,” Hardwicke said. “Twilight is a story that has captured the hearts of millions of people around the world, and I am thrilled to be able to bring it to life in a new way.”

The cast of “Twilight: The Animated Series” has not yet been announced, but it is expected to include some of the original cast members.

The series is set to premiere on Netflix in 2023.
