WNBA Sparks Schedule 2023

Preseason

  • May 5th: vs. Seattle Storm in Seattle, WA
  • May 7th: @ Los Angeles Lakers in El Segundo, CA
  • May 12th: vs. Phoenix Mercury in Phoenix, AZ
  • May 14th: @ Las Vegas Aces in Las Vegas, NV

Regular Season

The Sparks will play a total of 36 games in the regular season, with 18 games at home and 18 games on the road. They will face each of the other 11 teams in the league twice, once at home and once on the road. The Sparks will open their regular season on May 19th at home against the Dallas Wings. They will then play their first road game on May 21st against the Indiana Fever. The Sparks will have a total of 10 nationally televised games during the regular season, including five games on ESPN and five games on CBS Sports Network. The Sparks will conclude their regular season on August 13th at home against the Seattle Storm.

Playoffs

The WNBA playoffs will begin on August 15th. The top eight teams in the league will qualify for the playoffs, with the top two teams receiving a double-bye to the semifinals. The first round of the playoffs will be a single-elimination format, with the No. 3 seed hosting the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosting the No. 5 seed. The winners of those two games will advance to the semifinals, where they will face the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The semifinals and finals will be played in a best-of-five format. The WNBA Finals are scheduled to begin on September 12th.

Roster

The Sparks have a number of key players returning from last season, including Nneka Ogwumike, Brittney Sykes, and Lexie Brown. They also added some new faces to the roster, including Jasmine Thomas and Liz Cambage. The Sparks are expected to be one of the contenders in the WNBA this season. They have a lot of experience and talent, and they are led by one of the best coaches in the league in Derek Fisher.
