Ireland Soccer Games 2024: UEFA Nations League and International Friendlies

UEFA Nations League

The Republic of Ireland will compete in the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League in Group B, alongside Ukraine, Scotland, and Armenia.

The Nations League is a biennial international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA.

The competition was created to replace international friendlies, and it provides teams with more competitive matches and opportunities to qualify for major tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship.

International Friendlies

In addition to the UEFA Nations League, the Republic of Ireland will also play a number of international friendlies in 2024.

These matches will provide the team with opportunities to experiment with new players and tactics, and to prepare for the 2024 European Championship qualifiers, which will begin in March 2025.
