Strongest Quake in Years Jolts Pakistan
A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck southwestern Pakistan on Thursday, causing widespread damage and shaking buildings in neighboring India.
The quake's epicenter was near the city of Harnai, in Balochistan province, according to Pakistan's Meteorological Department. It struck at a depth of about 15 kilometers (9 miles) beneath the Earth's surface.
