Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Brook and Bairstow recalled to England squad for NZ Tests

England have recalled all-rounder Sam Curran, fast bowler Chris Woakes, batsman Harry Brook and wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow to their squad for the two-match Test series against New Zealand, starting on June 2.

Curran, Woakes back after injuries

Curran and Woakes missed the recent Test series in Pakistan due to injuries, but they have recovered and are now fit to play. Curran has been in good form for Surrey in the County Championship, taking 23 wickets in five matches. Woakes has also been in good form, taking 20 wickets in four matches for Warwickshire.

Brook, Bairstow in form

Brook and Bairstow have both been in excellent form for Yorkshire in the County Championship. Brook has scored 738 runs in seven matches, including three centuries, while Bairstow has scored 579 runs in seven matches, including two centuries.

The squad will be captained by Ben Stokes, who will be making his first appearance as England's Test captain since taking over from Joe Root in April.
