The Army Recruitment Nigeria Portal, found at www.recruitment.army.mil.ng, is the official website for the Nigerian Army's recruitment process.
Who Can Apply?
Interested candidates can apply through the Nigerian Army website to join the Nigerian Army. However, potential candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria to apply:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 22.
- Be a Nigerian citizen with a valid National Identity Number (NIN).
- Possess a minimum of 5 credits, including English and Mathematics, in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) from a recognized examination body.
- Be physically and mentally fit.
- Not have any criminal record.
Applying for Army Recruitment Nigeria
To apply for the Nigerian Army, follow the steps below:
- Visit the Army Recruitment Nigeria Portal at www.recruitment.army.mil.ng.
- Click on the “Register” button.
- Enter your personal information, including your name, email address, and phone number.
- Create a password.
- Click on the “Register” button.
Once you have registered, you can log in to the portal and complete the application form. The application form requires you to provide your personal information, educational background, and employment history. You will also need to upload a copy of your passport photograph and your National Identity Card.
Once you have completed the application form, click on the “Submit” button. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be notified of the outcome. If you are successful, you will be invited to attend a screening exercise.
Screening Exercise
The screening exercise is a series of tests and interviews designed to assess your suitability for the Nigerian Army. The screening exercise typically includes the following:

- A physical fitness test
- A medical exam
- An interview
If you pass the screening exercise, you will be offered a place in the Nigerian Army. You will then be required to report to the Nigerian Army Training Center for basic training.
