Canet Takes Victory in Chaotic Thailand Race
Aron Canet has emerged victorious in a dramatic and chaotic Moto2 race in Thailand, which was red-flagged due to a serious crash involving Jake Dixon.
The race was restarted over a reduced distance of 15 laps, with Canet making a lightning start from pole position and leading from the outset.
Despite pressure from his rivals, Canet held on to secure his second win of the season, ahead of Jorge Navarro and Celestino Vietti.
Ogura Clinches Moto2 Championship
While Canet celebrated his victory, Ai Ogura was celebrating a different triumph, as he secured the Moto2 World Championship title with a fourth-place finish.
The Japanese rider has been in stunning form throughout the season, and his consistency has ultimately paid off with the title.
Ogura's victory makes him the first Japanese rider to win the Moto2 championship, and he will now move up to MotoGP next season.
Dramatic Race Ends in Disappointment for Dixon
The race was overshadowed by a serious crash involving Jake Dixon, who suffered a broken ankle and a fractured vertebra.
The incident occurred on the opening lap, as Dixon lost control of his bike and slid into the gravel trap.
Dixon was attended to by medical staff and was later taken to hospital for further treatment.
