Answer Questions of the “Great Ethnographic Dictation” in TPU

Residents of Tomsk can write the “Great Ethnographic Dictation” on November 3–4

Answer questions of the “Great Ethnographic Dictation” on ethnic culture and traditions can be in TPU. Sites will be open in the main building (dormitories No. 10, 12, 13), as well as at branches in Strezhevoy and Kolpashevo.

The offline format of the action involves the passage of tests in special sites in various regions of the country. Tomsk Polytechnic University becomes one of the largest regional platforms for writing the dictation.

The test will take place on November 3–4

The test will include 30 questions divided into three blocks: federal, regional and local. Questions of the regional part will cover the history of Tomsk, Siberian traditions, folklore and culture of the indigenous peoples of the north of the region. The local component will be developed by TPU, it will focus on the chronology of the university's foundation and the contribution to the development of the region of the university and its graduates.

TPU will host the “Ethnographic Dictation” on November 3 from 10.00 to 18.00 and on November 4 from 12.00 to 18.00.

For those who want to write a dictation in a virtual format, online tests will be available on dictation.fest-nauka.ru from November 1 to November 4. The results will be published on November 8.

The Great Ethnographic Dictation is an international educational action held annually on the initiative of the Federal Agency for Nationalities. In 2022, it will be held for the sixth time. More than 100 countries and regions, including all regions of the Russian Federation, will participate in the dictation.
