Tomsk Polytechnic University to Host 'Great Ethnographic Dictation'

Answering the questions of the 'Great Ethnographic Dictation' will be available at TPU

On October 30, 2022, the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) will become a venue for the international educational action 'Great Ethnographic Dictation'. Anyone will be able to test their knowledge of the history, culture, and traditions of the peoples of Russia.

Registration for participation in the dictation is available on the official website of the project.

The 'Great Ethnographic Dictation' is an annual event that has been held since 2016. Its purpose is to attract the attention of the public to the ethnic and cultural diversity of the peoples of Russia, as well as to foster tolerance and respect for different cultures.

The dictation consists of 30 questions. To complete them, participants will have 45 minutes. The results will be announced on the project's website in November.

In 2021, over 800,000 people from all over Russia and abroad took part in the 'Great Ethnographic Dictation'. TPU became one of the largest venues, with over 1,000 participants.
