Tornado Warning for Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas

A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. The National Weather Service (NWS) says that a tornado was spotted near Oklahoma City at 9:30 p.m. CDT. The tornado is moving northeast at 30 mph. The NWS is urging residents in the path of the tornado to take shelter immediately.

The NWS has also issued a tornado watch for parts of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri. A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop. Residents in the tornado watch area should be prepared to take shelter if a tornado warning is issued.
