Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez score as AC Milan earn late away win over Monza

AC Milan secured a narrow 1-0 victory away at Monza thanks to goals from Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez in the second half.

The visitors started the game strongly and created several chances in the opening minutes, but it was Monza who took the lead against the run of play through Dany Mota in the 25th minute.

Milan responded well to going behind and equalised just four minutes later through Leao, who finished off a fine move involving Alexis Saelemaekers and Olivier Giroud.

The match remained evenly contested in the second half, but Milan eventually found the winner in the 85th minute when Hernandez prodded home from close range from a Brahim Diaz cross.

The win saw Milan move up to second in the Serie A table, while Monza remain in 16th place.
