Nine contributor semifinalists revealed for Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025
Assistant coaches, executives and contributors are among the latest nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025.
A total of 122 modern-era candidates will be considered for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
The list of semifinalists was unveiled during the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday night, with 28 players joining the previously announced 10 coaching candidates, 10 contributor candidates and 74 senior candidates.
The semifinalists will be reduced to a list of 15 Modern-Era finalists in January 2024, five of whom will be elected via a vote of the full Hall of Fame membership.
The contributor category includes individuals who have made significant contributions to the game of football in a non-playing role. The nominees in this category include:
- Bill Nunn, a scout for the Pittsburgh Steelers for over 50 years, is credited with discovering many talented players, including Hall of Famers like John Stallworth, Lynn Swann, and Hines Ward.
- Ron Wolf, the former general manager of the Green Bay Packers, is known for his success in building a championship team in the 1990s, including the Packers' Super Bowl XXXI victory.
- George Young, the former general manager of the New York Giants, is credited with building the team's Super Bowl XXV championship team, and is known for his innovative approach to player personnel.
The semifinalists will be considered by the Hall of Fame's Contributor Committee in August 2024, which will select up to three contributors to advance to the final round of voting.
