Randy Orton Challenges Gunther for WWE Bash in Berlin

Sheamus Defeats GUNTHER

Following the conclusion of a highly entertaining and commercially successful SummerSlam the focus now shifts towards the next premium live event WWE Clash at the Castle. A massive title match was added to the WWE Bash in Berlin card on the post-SummerSlam 2024 episode. It was announced today that WWE would be hosting Bash In Berlin the first ever WWE premium live event in Germany.

Orton vs. Gunther

Randy Orton challenged Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Orton earned the title opportunity by defeating Chad Gable on the August 7th edition of Monday Night Raw. Gunther has been a dominant champion since winning the title from Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 39. He has successfully defended the title against the likes of Nakamura, Santos Escobar, and Ludwig Kaiser.

Orton is a former 14-time world champion and one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history. He is also a former Intercontinental Champion, having held the title on three previous occasions. Orton is looking to add another title to his resume and become the first person to defeat Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.

In other news from SummerSlam, Sheamus defeated GUNTHER to retain the WWE United States Championship. CM Punk's anger boiled over during his SummerSlam match with Drew McIntyre, allowing The Scottish Warrior to pick up the victory. Both Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre are viable challengers for Cody's title and one of the two could be his challenger at WWE Clash at the Castle.

WWE Clash at the Castle will take place on September 3, 2024 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
