Schools Are Teaching a Different Version of the ABCs

Instead of ending with 'now I know my ABCs next time won't you sing with me', the lyrics have changed to 'now I know my ABCs always be sure to use them well'.

Have your kids come home singing their ABCs to a familiar tune – but one that somehow sounds just a bit different? But it's for a good reason.

Adult Americans have been left in tears after a first grade school teacher revealed the new version of the alphabet song that is being taught in schools.

The new version of the song includes the line “always be sure to use them well”, which has been added to encourage children to use their knowledge for good.

The change has been praised by many, who say it is a much-needed reminder for children in today's world.
