Manny Machado Wins MVP of the Year
San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado has been named the National League MVP for the 2023 season.
Machado had a breakout season in 2023, leading the league in home runs (49), RBIs (143), and batting average (.365). He also helped the Padres win their first NL West title since 2006.
Machado is the first Padres player to win the MVP award since Ken Caminiti in 1996.
