11th Annual 9/11 Silent Walk

On September 11, 2001, the world was forever changed by the terrorist attacks on the United States. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost, and countless others were injured. In the aftermath of the tragedy, the 9/11 Silent Walk was created as a way to remember the victims and honor the heroes who responded to the attacks.
The 11th Annual 9/11 Silent Walk will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, in New York City. The walk will begin at 8:46 a.m. at the World Trade Center site and will proceed to the Pentagon and the Shanksville, Pennsylvania, crash site. Along the way, participants will pause for moments of silence at each location to remember the victims and honor the heroes.
The 9/11 Silent Walk is a powerful and moving experience that allows participants to come together and remember the events of September 11th. The walk is also a way to show support for the victims’ families and the heroes who responded to the attacks.
How to Participate in the 9/11 Silent Walk
To participate in the 9/11 Silent Walk, simply register online at the walk’s website. Registration is free, but donations are welcome. Participants are encouraged to wear white or blue clothing and to carry American flags or signs with messages of remembrance and support.
The walk will begin at 8:46 a.m. at the World Trade Center site. Participants can choose to walk the entire route or to join the walk at any point along the way. The walk will proceed to the Pentagon and the Shanksville, Pennsylvania, crash site. Along the way, participants will pause for moments of silence at each location to remember the victims and honor the heroes.
