A power outage that affected about 18,000 Seattle City Light customers in North Seattle on Monday afternoon has been restored, the utility said.

The outage began around 1:30 p.m. and affected customers in the Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford, and University District neighborhoods.

Seattle City Light crews worked quickly to restore power, and by 5 p.m., most customers had their power back. A small number of customers were still without power as of 8 p.m., but crews were working to restore power to those customers as quickly as possible.
