**ZooTampa Has Welcomed Several New Animals Recently**

ZooTampa has recently welcomed several new animals to its ever-growing family. These new additions are sure to delight visitors of all ages and add something extra special to your next zoo adventure.

Meet Dash, the Cheetah Cub

One of the most exciting new arrivals is Dash, a male cheetah cub born on May 26, 2023. Dash is the first cheetah cub to be born at ZooTampa in over 20 years. He is a healthy and playful little cub who loves to explore his surroundings and chase after his toys.

Cheetahs are the fastest land animals on Earth, and Dash is already showing signs of his incredible speed. He is a joy to watch as he runs and plays with his mother, Asha.

Say Hello to Ellie, the Asian Elephant

ZooTampa is also proud to welcome Ellie, a 3-year-old female Asian elephant. Ellie arrived from the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C., in late 2022. She is a curious and intelligent elephant who loves to interact with her keepers and visitors.

Asian elephants are the largest land animals in Asia, and Ellie is a prime example of this majestic species. She is a gentle giant who enjoys playing in the water and taking mud baths.

Introducing Kona, the Red-footed Tortoise

Another new addition to ZooTampa is Kona, a 7-year-old red-footed tortoise. Kona is a slow-moving but fascinating reptile who loves to bask in the sun and munch on vegetables.

Red-footed tortoises are native to South America, and they can live for up to 100 years. Kona is a welcome addition to ZooTampa's reptile collection, and he is sure to be a hit with visitors of all ages.
