Chris Paul puts up 15 points 10 assists in Suns' Game 1 win over Warriors
Suns take 1-0 series lead
Chris Paul had 15 points and 10 assists as the Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 112-98 in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals on Tuesday night.
Devin Booker led the Suns with 27 points, while Deandre Ayton added 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 27 points, while Klay Thompson added 21 points.
Paul sets playoff record
Paul's 10 assists gave him 1,089 for his playoff career, moving him past John Stockton for third place on the NBA's all-time list.
Paul is now behind only Magic Johnson (1,253) and Jason Kidd (1,123) on the all-time list.
Suns win despite poor shooting
The Suns shot just 41.5% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range, but they were able to overcome their poor shooting by outrebounding the Warriors 51-37 and forcing 14 turnovers.
The Suns also made 21 of 24 free throws, while the Warriors made just 12 of 19.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday night in Phoenix.
