1. Governor
Incumbent Democratic Governor Laura Kelly is facing a challenge from Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt. The race is expected to be close, and both candidates have been running aggressive campaigns.
2. U.S. Senate
Republican incumbent Sen. Jerry Moran is facing a challenge from Democratic nominee Mark Holland. Moran is a heavy favorite in the race, but Holland has been running a strong campaign and could make the race more competitive than expected.
