Easily Add Animated GIFs to Your OBS Overlays
Get ready to elevate your OBS overlays with the power of animated GIFs! This comprehensive tutorial will guide you through the steps of seamlessly adding GIFs to your overlays, enhancing your video recordings and live streams with captivating visual elements.
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
Before we dive in, make sure you have the following:
- OBS Studio
- Saved GIFs
- Optional: Image editing software
Step 2: Create a New GIF Source
Open OBS Studio and right-click in the “Sources” panel. Select “Add” > “Image” to create a new source for your GIF.
Step 3: Import Your GIF
Click the “Browse” button in the “Image Source” properties and navigate to the saved GIF on your computer. Once selected, click “Open” to import the GIF.
Step 4: Adjust the GIF Settings
Customize the GIF's appearance using the “Transform” and “Filters” panels. Adjust its size, position, and rotation to fit your overlay. You can also apply filters to enhance the GIF's visual impact.
Step 5: Control the GIF Animation
To control the GIF's animation, click on the “Looping” checkbox. You can choose to loop the GIF continuously or set a custom start and end time to play only a specific portion.
Step 6: Add the GIF to Your Overlay
Drag and drop the GIF source onto your overlay canvas. You can reposition and resize the GIF as needed to integrate it seamlessly into your scene.
Step 7: Save Your Overlay
Once you're satisfied with your overlay, save it for future use. Right-click on the “Scenes” tab and select “Save” to export your overlay as a .OBS file.
