When Is a Beach Pass Needed?

Non-Residents:

Non-residents must purchase a daily or annual beach pass to access the park during the following periods:

* Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day: Daily and annual passes required. * Off-season (September 16 – May 14): Non-residents are not required to purchase a pass.

Residents:

Residents with a valid town permit or beach sticker are exempt from purchasing a beach pass.

Ocean Beach Park Rules

General Rules:

• No alcohol or glass containers are permitted. • No smoking in designated non-smoking areas. • No camping or overnight parking. • No open fires or grilling. • Pets must be on leashes and cannot be left unattended.

Boardwalk Rules:

• No bicycles, skateboards, or rollerblades. • Keep dogs on leashes. • No skateboards, scooters, or bicycles allowed.

Beach Rules:

• Swim at your own risk. Lifeguards are present in the summer months. • No diving boards or swimming pools. • Do not litter or leave trash behind. • No loud noise or music that disturbs others. • Remove all personal belongings from the beach at nightfall.

Additional Information:

• The boardwalk is open 24 hours a day, while the beach is open from dawn to dusk. • Restrooms and showers are available along the boardwalk. • Concessions and food vendors are available at various locations. • Parking is available in designated lots for a fee.

Safety Tips:

• Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to a lifeguard or park ranger. • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. • Protect yourself from the sun by wearing sunscreen and sunglasses. • Swim within designated swimming areas. • Obey all posted signs and lifeguard instructions.
